SMW+ v1.5.0 for Windows comes with a graphical installation tool and is approved to run on the following Windows versions:
- Windows 2000
- Windows Server 2003 R2
- Windows XP Service Pack 2 and 3

SMW+ v1.5.0 (VMware image) can be run with the following VMware products:

Deploy SMW+ (Halo) from source code
You can download the single components of SMW+ (Halo extensions) from sourceforge. Nightly builds of the Halo extensions are available at our public build server. Below you find the direct links for downloading the latest release of the single components. Alternatively you can download and install them conveniently using the Deployment Framework.

Deployment from source code needs technical expertise. SMW+ / Halo 1.5.0 requires:
- Apache HTTP Server
- MySQL higher than 4.0.14 (Recommended MySQL 5.x)
- PHP 5.2.x (PHP 5.3.x is not supported yet)
- MediaWiki 1.15.x (MediaWiki is a free content management system serving as the technical basis of Wikipedia)
- Semantic MediaWiki 1.5.0 (Semantic MediaWiki is an extension to MediaWiki which provides basic semantic support)
- Web browser for clients (Recommended Firefox 3.x or Internet Explorer 8. There might be glitches with other browsers).
